Privacy policy

Decayly is operated from the United Kingdom. This page explains what we store, why we store it, and how to exercise your rights. Questions or requests: hello@decayly.co.uk.

What we store

  • Account details — your name, email address, and a hash of your password. We never store the password itself.
  • Search Console data — for properties you connect: page-level clicks, impressions, positions, and dates, used to detect decay.
  • Crawl data — pages crawled from your own connected sites (titles, metadata, content fingerprints) to judge content freshness.
  • Preferences and billing state — alert cadence, plan, and subscription status. Payment details never touch our servers: checkout and card storage are handled entirely by Stripe.

Google user data

Decayly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google Search Console data is used only to provide Decayly's content decay detection, reporting, crawl prioritisation, and alerts. It is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to train machine-learning models. To stop Decayly accessing a connected Google account, you can disconnect it directly from your site's status page in your dashboard — this immediately stops further Search Console access and cancels any in-flight sync jobs. If you want the associated data removed as well, email hello@decayly.co.uk.

Who processes data for us

  • Google — the Search Console API, for the data you explicitly connect.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email (verification, alert digests).
  • Our hosting provider — running the application and database.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect a connected Google account directly from your site's status page, which stops our access to further Search Console data. To delete your account or associated data, email hello@decayly.co.uk and we'll action it promptly.

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via the address above.
